Cacapon Resort State Park, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia

Cacapon (pronounced ka-KAY-pon) Resort State Park is so named from a Shawnee Indian word meaning “medicine waters”. These waters have healing powers and come to surface nearby at Berkeley Springs State Park. Cacapon Resort State Park is located in the shadows of the Cacapon Mountain. Panorama Overlook, at the southern end of the park and 2,320 feet above sea level, is the highest point in the park.
