Cacapon (pronounced ka-KAY-pon) Resort State Park is so named from a Shawnee Indian word meaning “medicine waters”. These waters have healing powers and come to surface nearby at Berkeley Springs State Park. Cacapon Resort State Park is located in the shadows of the Cacapon Mountain. Panorama Overlook, at the southern end of the park and 2,320 feet above sea level, is the highest point in the park.
Offering 6,000 acres of exciting outdoor getaways any time of year, Cacapon Resort State Park provides golfing, lake activities and hiking opportunities, vacation cabins, a restaurant and golf academy in West Virginia’s eastern panhandle. The lodge extends first-class service year-round.
